Dogfight

January 2008's Aeroplane magazine features one of the hottest discussion topics in the world of heritage aviation with Bill Coombes and Steve Atkin debating the pros and cons of inaccurate colour schemes on restored aircraft.

We'd certainly like to hear your opinions so feel free to join in the debate with one proviso... let's not get personal. And let's respect those individuals and organisations who own or operate aircraft in liveries that may not be to our personal tastes.

I'll happily kick off the debate by recording my appreciation of the fact that I'd probably never have seen a Sea Vixen in the air had it not been for Red Bull's sponsorship. Likewise by observing that few aircraft have the ability to make members of the general public go 'wow' like rainbow-liveried Hunter G-PSST 'Miss Demeanour'.

Let's hear what you think...
