Can anyone here tell me anything about this? I was given it years ago, but the person who gave it to me knew nothing at all about it. It's clearly a crude model of a Short Sterling, in cast aluminium, but that's all I know. Who made it, where, and when is a mystery.

In about 1946 - 47, these castings appeared. Aircraft were being scrapped and melted down. I remember there were the Stirling, which is shown, Blenheim, Beaufort, Mosquito. They were all single fin, they were sand cast, so twin fins would be dificult. They sold at the princely price of 2/6, old money.
