Ok..my 2penoth worth.
Hi All,
Well, my opinion is that I do not mind seeing warbirds in any colour scheme. As pointed out, without some of these aircraft having sponsers, we would never have seen them fly. That would be a tragedy, and a travesty. So if it has to be painted in the scheme of the sponser for it to fly...great..so be it.
Though I would say..I much prefer to see warbirds in true war schemes. And yes, I would like the colours and markings to be as accurtae as possible..to do justise to those who flew them, if nothing else. This is especially true for "Genuine" warbirds. Those that really flew during the wars in which they took part. Seeing a warbird in her true colours fly...nothing beats that! "Miss Helen", Capt Raymond Littge's 352nd FG P-51 springs to mind( BIG 352ndFG fan). Plus its a good source of information to of us interested in such. Yes I can forgive small mistakes..no-one, or thing is perfect. And time does tell on those with the true knowledge as to the facts.
Soo...thats my word on the subject.
Yes to warbirds in ANY colour schemes. I want to see them fly. But if at all possible..authentic schemes would be nice. This goes especially for "Genuine" warbirds.
