Giuseppe Ruzzin
      03/07/2008 20:41

On june 29, 1943 my goodfriend Giuseppe Ruzzin (now in his 92!) was piloting a Bf109G-6/trop of the 154 Squadriglia of the 3 Gruppo autonomo of Regia Aeronautica (almost certainly W.Nr 18096 coded 154 4), it was 14:30 and Ruzzin with 2 other 109 after taking off from Comiso flew alongside German 109 of the Pik As squadron from Catania Fontanarossa versus 3 squadron of Spitfires...about 40 planes of three nationality, it was a Hornet nest! After exchanging friendly waves with a Spitfire pilot Ruzzin landed with the feeling that was "his best dogfight"
