XL319 and XH558 feel the chill

On January 8 the weight of snow in Sunderland proved too much for the North East Air Museum's Avro Vulcan B.2, XL319. After the loan of a crane, the bomber was righted 11 days later.
Meanwhile, the Vulcan to the Sky Trust's (VTST) effort to keep XH558 flying was feeling the economic chill. At the end of December, £175,000 of the monthly £200,000 target had been reached. A refocused fund-raising campaign was launched on January 25; but, unless £600,000 in donations and pledges are in sight by the end of February, the VTST board may be forced to ground the Vulcan.
