Former Soviet Air Force Bell P-39Q  Airacobra 44-2911 arrived at the Niagara Aerospace Museum in Buffalo, New York, USA, on October 21. The museum is housed in part of the old Bell Aircraft Factory, and the P-39 is now being cleaned and conserved in the same building in which it was built in 1944.

The fighter was recovered by Jim Pearce from Lake Mart-Yavr, near Murmansk, in July 2004, where it had forced-landed in November 1944  (see News Feature, April 2005 Aeroplane). Current plans call for the P-39 to go on display during 2011.
