Our 15-day grand tour includes: Two major airshows — Duxford and Shuttleworth; 11 aviation museums & collections; privileged-access visits; Free time in the historic cities of London, Lincoln, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick, Cambridge and Windsor.

Meet the Editor and members of the Aeroplane team
PROVISIONAL ITINERARY:
DAY 1: Meet the Editor over drinks. Overnight Heathrow (BB)
DAY 2: Coach to the West Country via Stonehenge. Overnight Taunton (BB)
DAY 3: Fleet Air Arm Museum, then on to Farnborough, the birthplace of powered flight in Britain, to visit the Farnborough Air Sciences Museum. Return to London for a three-night stay (BB)
DAY 4: Free day in London to sightsee; optional visit to Aeroplane offices
DAY 5: Morning visit to Royal Air Force Club in Piccadilly, accompanied by the Editor. Coach to Brooklands Museum. Afternoon visit to RAF Uxbridge and Fighter Command's WW2 Operations Room for Southern England
DAY 6: RAF Museum Hendon, then on to de Havilland Aircraft Heritage Centre, birthplace of the Mosquito. Overnight stay in Hatfield (DBB)
DAY 7: Full day at the Shuttleworth Collection's Summer Air Display, accompanied by the Editor, then on to the ancient iron-age town of Lincoln for an overnight stay (BB)
DAY 8: RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at RAF Coningsby, then on to Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre — optional taxying ride in Avro Lancaster. Overnight Telford (BB)
DAY 9: RAF Museum Cosford, including National Cold War Exhibition; then on to Warwick for two nights, with rest of day free to explore the castle and city (DBB)
DAY 10: Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of Sir William Shakespeare. Time at leisure to explore; return to Warwick
DAY 11: Morning visit to SkySport Engineering's restoration workshops. Remainder of day free in Cambridge to sightsee. Two nights in Cambridge (BB)
DAY 12: Duxford Airfield: a day to explore IWM Duxford, AirSpace, American Air Museum in Britain and more
DAY 13: Full day with the Editor at Duxford's Flying Legends Airshow, then on to Windsor for a two-night stay (BB)
DAY 14: Free day in the Royal town, including time to visit Windsor Castle. Optional end-of-tour dinner in the company of the Editor
DAY 15: Transfer for overseas passengers to Heathrow and Gatwick airports

£1,749 Based on sharing a twin-bedded room (£595 Single room supplement)
EARLY BOOKING DISCOUNT
Book before January 31, 2010, and benefit from an early booking discount of £50 per person which will be deducted from your final balance.
A £250 deposit (make cheques payable to Ian Allan Travel) will secure a place. The tour is arranged with Ian Allan Aviation Tours.

- 14 nights' hotel accommodation sharing a twin-bedded room with private facilities
- Breakfast (BB) or dinner, bed and breakfast (DBB), as stated n Coach transport throughout the itinerary as indicated

- Gratuity for coach driver

- Flights to/from London
