Florida Sun 'n' Fun Reader Tour

Our 9-day tour includes: Two full days at the EAA's Sun 'n' Fun Fly-in (or spend one of the days exploring Florida's other attractions); a memorable day at John F. Kennedy Space Center; visits to several excellent aviation museums; and the chance to enjoy the thrill and excitement of water take-offs and landings on optional floatplane rides!

PROVISIONAL ITINERARY:

DAY 1: Morning departure from London Heathrow with American Airlines,bound for Orlando via Chicago. Coach to Kissimee for five-night stay (BB)

DAYS 2 & 3: Coach to Lakeland Airport to enjoy the first two days of the EAA's 2010 Sun 'n' Fun Fly-in, including the Warbirds airshow. Or spend one of the days enjoying Disney's Epcot Centre, Magic Kingdom, Universal Studios, etc

DAY 4: Morning visit to Jack Brown's Seaplane Base in Winter Haven – and the option of floatplane flights! On to Lake Agnes to see floatplanes attending the “Splash-in”; then to Kermit Weeks's Fantasy of Flight Museum with afternoon tours of the storage and restoration areas

DAY 5: Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral followed by late afternoon visit to Valiant Air Command Museum and the chance of a flight in Normandy veteran C-47 'Tico Belle'

DAY 6: Kissimmee airfield to see the ongoing restoration of rare Focke-Wulf Fw 190F-8 “White 1”; on to Tallahassee for one night (BB)

DAY 7: Morning visit to the US Air Force Armament Museum at Eglin AFB; on to Hurlburt Field Memorial Air Park/Air Command Museum, then Pensacola for an overnight stay (BB)

DAY 8: Visit the 140+ aircraft in the huge collection of the National Naval Aviation Museum at Pensacola NAS; evening departure for London

DAY 9: Afternoon arrival at London Heathrow Airport

£1,499 Based on sharing a twin-bedded room (£314 Single room supplement)
